Welcome to the Home page of Quintus Florentius Agrippa, Legionnaire in the Imperial Legion XI Claudia Pia Fidelis, based in Peachtree City, Georgia. This page details my experiences in constructing various pieces of Roman Military Equipment. I claim no museum quality reconstruction expertise, though I work to make everything as accurately as I can. I feel in general it is better to have a piece of equipment that at least looks right regardless of how it's built, than to have nothing at all.
As always, I am looking for pictures of anything anyone has made using these pages, and general feedback, as well as for corrections, and info updates.

Unfortunately: It has been determined that at this time the Deepeeka Patera and Situla have too high a lead content in them to be considered food safe.

Here is a link to some very interesting work being done by LEG II Augusta in Great Britain on the carry pole (this page is best viewed with Internet Explorer).

I have been given the honor of testing a new manufacture of Hobnails by PRIMA COHORS of Spain. These are not the Keltika Hobnails, but a nail of their own manufacture. I will post results on the Hobnail page as soon as possible. Still working on this: Unfortunately these nails have the same problem as Keltika's. The shaft is not the right shape so they don't clinch properly. On the other hand, the head of the nail is perfect.

New Gallery of Builders page also under construction.

Please be patient, this is a graphics intensive site with many photos.
